This series of photographs shows the volcanic landscape of the island of Lanzarote, Spain. The largest eruption in the island’s history took place in 1730 and lasted six years. The eruption changed the appearance of the island to a harsh otherworldly volcanic landscape. This stark landscape connects us with the immensity of nature itself; with the beginning and the ending of humankind.
